Backend and Platform Engineer.
Do you enjoy building AI platforms and want to help set up a legal tech start-up? At Caserock AI we are looking for reinforcement in backend, platform engineering and web development. You make sure our applications run reliably, securely and fast.
Your responsibilities
What you bring
- Practical experience in backend, platform or web development and in operating production applications.
- Solid TypeScript skills and experience with APIs, relational databases, Git and automated testing.
- A good understanding of how the internet works, software architecture, cyber security and agentic software development, together with a structured approach to debugging and technical trade-offs.
- Independent working, clear communication and a liking for developing and documenting solutions together.
Experience with cloud infrastructure, Docker, Angular, Nest.js or agent monitoring. You do not need to be an expert in every area yet. What matters are solid foundations and the willingness to learn.
What awaits you
At Caserock AI we are developing a specialised AI platform for law firms and legal departments. To do so, we combine modern AI technology with the know-how of leading German lawyers and the concrete requirements of their daily work. Our goal: to enable lawyers to tackle the hardest problems with AI.
Our platform models a virtual team of specialised AI assistants: from document preparation and the analysis of extensive files to traceable case overviews with verifiable sources. Security, data sovereignty and integration into existing workflows are at the centre of it.
As part of our engineering team you build the technical foundation for this: reliable systems that process complex information and handle particularly sensitive data responsibly. In doing so, you help shape how AI is used in everyday legal work.
